HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. — The Tennessee Valley Authority is increasing their electricity rate for data centers as it prepares for growing power demand from artificial intelligence and other large computing facilities across its service territory.
The new standard data center rate takes effect Oct. 1, 2026, according to materials presented to the TVA Board approval.
TVA expects the rate to result in an average all-in billing impact of approximately 10%, phased in over three consecutive fiscal years.
